I think Surface RT is excellent for what it is suppose to do. Too many people are reviewing Surface RT as if they are reviewing Surface Pro. I've heard about some of the performance problems, but whenever I see it, it usually when some one is quickly side scrolling through several opened apps. Would be interesting to see what happens if they scroll through 3 apps instead of 8. (each app does take resources so what do they expect.) Also I've notice people comparing Surface to iPad which makes since, however Surface get dinged when running multiple apps on screen simultaneously which is something the ipad can't do at all. I don't Too much FUD about Surface and not enough genuinely honest reviews. Paul did a nice job with this quick review, but others sites like Gizmodo are poorly done. Slashgear does a nice fair review on Surface also. Why do so many people complain about the lack of apps on a 1.0 system at launch, hasn't it always been that way? Just my two cents.

So far its sounds like a typical 1.0 device. Some good, some needs improvement. No company ever gets it 100% right the first time. I think the only major drawback will be the confusion between WindowsRT and Windows 8. More people will probably want the surface pro. Overall, from what I have read, it seems like a good device for those who are interested in it.

You wrote: "The trackpad on the Touch Cover and Type Cover does not support two-finger scrolling. Thats too bad, because its otherwise a fine pointing device for casual use." Works just fine on my Surface!
