Windows 8 App Showcase: Amazon Kindle

Microsoft this morning released its first batch of new Windows 8 apps to the Windows Store, fulfilling a promise to add new apps over time. Key among the new entries, of course, is one of my own most eagerly awaited apps, for the Amazon Kindle eBook reader.

Here's what you need to know about the Amazon Kindle app for Windows 8.

App type: Books & Reference -> E-Reader
Purpose: Read Kindle eBooks with your Windows 8 device or PC
Windows Phone equivalent: Amazon Kindle for Windows Phone
Services integration: Kindle
