And Now, a Stunningly Unfunny Microsoft Internal Video

Well, they can't all be home runs.

After the stunning "Gmail Man" video made the rounds online recently (here's my blog post about this, and a later editorial from WinInfo), I guess I sort of expected more excellence from Microsoft's internal video efforts. Sadly, this is not the case. The latest leaked internal video, which doesn't really have a proper name, features Microsoft Office president Kurt DelBene, Windows Phone president Andrew Lees, Online Services president Qi Lu, and Consumer Marketing VP Chris Capossela. There are a few cute moments ("Yeah. I love passing Google," is a favorite) but most of it is stunningly unfunny, unfortunately.

Ah well. Maybe next time.

Thanks to all who emailed in about this.

Seriously, are you sure they aren't driving to Dunder-Mifflin? Something makes me think so (re: your comments).

Whoops. Ballmer must have killed that silliness. Back to work, guys! We got a schedule for Windows 8 to carry on.
