Half-Life 2: Episode 2

It's a happy, happy day: Valve has released Half-Life 2: Episode 2, its second episodic sequel to Half-Life 2, The Greatest Game Ever Created (tm). (And yes, I'm serious: It really is the best game ever.) I've downloaded the PC version via Valve's increasingly excellent Steam system, but the big news this time around is that you can get HL2, HL2 Episode 1 (which was middling at best), and HL2 Episode 2, along with Portal and Team Fortress 2 ... for the Xbox 360! (Confusingly, this package is called The Orange Box.) This means that, yes, The Greatest Game Ever Created (tm) is now available on the best video game console ever made. Life is good.

I'll be reviewing it soon. Here's a sneak peak at the promo graphic, which I made earlier than usual since I was excited and Episode 2 was downloading...

Half-Life 2 for Xbox 360!

Splitting time between this and Halo 3 on Legendary is going to be tough.

Looking forward to it too Paul! Picking it up tonight after work! Maybe I'll see you on-line.

Okay, Paul, I rented the Orange Box last night because usually I like your recommendations. I got about two hours into Half-Life 2, and I wonder why you call it the best game ever. I mean it's okay, but its not even all that great. Running around looking for escape routes kinda reminds me of why Tomb Raider games get tedious after a while. I'll stick with it a while since I have it for a week. I'm just glad I didn't purchase it...at least for now.
