iPhone SDK Downloads Top 100,000

Apple touts the download numbers for its recently-released iPhone SDK, somehow fails to mention how many downloads that it per second:

Apple today announced that more than 100,000 iPhone developers have downloaded the beta iPhone Software Development Kit (SDK) in the first four days since its launch on March 6. The iPhone SDK provides developers with the same rich set of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and tools that Apple uses to create its native applications for iPhone and iPod touch.

The free beta iPhone SDK is available immediately worldwide and can be downloaded at developer.apple.com/iphone/program. The iPhone Developer Program will initially be available in the US and will expand to other countries in the coming months. A QuickTime® video of the iPhone roadmap event is available to view at www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/iphoneroadmap.

No surprises here. This is going to be huge.

Hopefully someone will make a decent calender. A monthly view with text is needed. Without it a monthly view only shows the days of the month. How can it be useful if I don't know what I am doing that day? Having to switch to a weekly view [or daily view] with text each time I need to see what on my schedule is a constant pain. Datebk 6 on the Palm OS works great with text and a month view.

The iPhone has a text field within the monthly view, it shows you your appointments, scrolls up and down, you can add and remove appointments, or you have list view, again you can scroll up and down, add and remove appointments, BTW the iPhone has no weekly view, the list view makes it unnecessary.

notawindowsuser , so when on the monthly view, I could see , for example, under Monday it could show the word "Medford", and Tuesday could show the word "Hospital" and Wednesday, "RSC meeting"?
