Silly little mistake of the day

I'm in the process of switching over entirely to Windows Home Server, which involves getting another TB of storage and copying over all the data from my current server, which is running Windows Server 2003 R2. I noticed today, however, that my Windows Vista SP1 RC-based clients are incorrectly identified in the WHS console, however, no doubt because of version number update:

Cute. :)

I have to say Paul, I purchased the HP MediaSmart Server because of you. I've only had it for a few days, but I love this little thing. I appreciate all your enthusiasm for it on Windows Weekly and WinSuperSite. Otherwise, I may never have even considered purchasing one as I never thought I would need a server at my house. Happy holidays.

Thanks! I really do like the HP quite a bit. It's just an amazing little device.

I'm not too impressed by the reliability so far. A friend of a relative bought one recently, and it had a defective hard drive. It was returned, and the replacement wouldn't power on. It was returned for a full refund. Meanwhile, I built them a system with a Pentium dual-core (the new Core-based ones, not the old Netburst Pentium D's), 1GB of RAM, and 2TB of hard drive space with enterprise-class SATA hard drives and eSATA expansion options for less money. Needless to say, they were much happier with a better, cheaper (and working) machine. BTW: I like how HP gives in to the AMD hype (read: lies) by marketing "64-bit computing" even though Windows Home Server is only available in a 32-bit version. It's funnier when you see that the HP Mediasmart only has 512MB of RAM and thus doesn't even come close to reaching the 32-bit RAM ceiling.
