SuperSite Blog Daily Update: September 26, 2010

Good morning. :)

iTunes 10.0.1 is out. According to Apple, this update includes the following changes:

Addresses an issue where the picture quality of a video changes depending on whether the on-screen controls are visible.

Resolves an issue where iTunes may unexpectedly quit while interacting with album artwork viewed in a separate window.

Fixes a problem that affects the performance of some third-party visualizers.

Addresses an issue where the iTunes library and playlists appear empty.

Resolves an issue that created an incompatibility with some third-party shared libraries.

Just so we're clear, webOS is doomed. So I'm not sure what this is all about. The reason we haven't heard about a new Palm phone is that those guys were literally at death's door when HP bought the company. Nothing to see there.

About WebOS, I keep wondering how fast a turn around people think hardware can have. If Palm wasn't working on a new phone internally, and HP had no intentions of a phone initially, how could they haul one out in three months?

"Fixes a problem that affects the performance of some third-party visualizers." so apple is concerned about third-party add on performance, but does not seem to give a bit about the horrid performance of iTunes itself?
