for Paul and whoever else blindly believes everything he writes: amazon is selling mobileme for $67. It's germane since he loves to trash the service for its price tag every chance he can get [most recently with his 'my phone' review]. I'm sure he blatantly uses the full retail price to back his argument. It's called intellectual inconsistency.

And this has what to do with this blog post? Go away TROLL.

alanm, it has to do with this site, it's the only way to fill in the missing pieces of mis-information that you didn't get in the main story. Why don't you just be grateful for the news. But hey, if you wanted to add something to this earth shattering visual studio beta news, we are all ears.

News posts can't be commented on, so random blog posts must be used to comment on news reports. How else can anyone comment on the multiple orgasm review of Windows 7?

Actually this is kind of big news if you're into the whole 64 bit thing. Visual Studio and .NET 4 contain the APIs to convert your apps to 64 bit, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe someone here can expand.

@gfryesc1, Keleko So go blog about it. If anyone cares, they'll read it. If you're aiming to contact Paul, email him. The comments of unrelated blog posts are not the place for this kind of thing. (I've been unable to read the comments of IEBlog for exactly the same reason.) Interestingly enough, this place also has a forum, so perhaps you should make a thread there? http://community.winsupersite.com/forums/

Erico, did you learn your English from watching homer Simpson? You're repetitive enough to qualify as a halfwit. And Mark, sorry, but I don't just let Paul pitch outright deceptions. I'm not going to stop, just read Paul's post like the sheep you are.

@gfryesc1 I don't see any deception. Apple is selling MobileMe at $99. That it's not the cheapest you can find it at isn't the point. But the comments of a completely unrelated post is certainly not the place to complain about it. It won't help other people, since they probably don't read this blog, and all it does is annoys the people who do read it. Also, protip: insulting the people you're trying to convince isn't going to endear them towards your cause. Not in the slightest.

MacLawyer Actually, Visual Studio has had the option of emitting 64-bit Windows code since there's been a 64-bit Windows (circa 2001 to 2005 depending on chipset) What you may be thinking of is the inclusion of some additional parallel processing tools that used to be separate downloads rather than built into the distribution.

mikegalos You are correct. I'm excited by it because of the new language features and because of the new WPF front-end. I've been working hard at getting a handle on WPF, and while I find the technology fascinating, it is a bear to learn (including the graphics artist skills needed). I've played with the parallel additions to .NET since Beta 1 was released, and see a lot of value there. I should have it downloaded tomorrow.!!

Truth is, it's a very difficult language to learn. Bash Microsoft all you want, but don't go insulting others' when it comes to language. By the way, his name is Homer Simpson. With a capital H. Think before chastising others.

@NoNameAtAll He he, so funny when people insult others regarding their command of the english language and are made to look fools themselves thanks to their poor grammar. Thank you for that.

@all, except gfryesc1: He's just "Ocean" posting under another handle. If you've been here more than a couple months, you'll know who I'm talking about. @gfryesc1/Ocean: Get a life.
