Wii Dishwashing Champion: Exactly

LOL. This video pretty much says it all when it comes to the Wii. Good stuff.

(Plus this was a cheap way for me to see if Windows Live Writer's improved Insert Video functionality actually works. In case it doesn't: Go here.)

"It made an >image< link. Pffftt..... Come on Microsoft." Likely your blogging software. Works fine on Wordpress.

Indeed, the Wii is not a hardcore gamer platform - but, it's not meant to be. Nintendo knew as the Gamecube reached the end of it's run that they could never compete with Microsoft or Sony on raw power alone, so they decided to try a different approach - and it worked. Credit where it's due, Microsoft and Nintendo saw Nintendo as only a minor annoyance - a company that would either go the way of Sega, or go alltogether. They didn't, they survived the onslaught and infact outsell the competition. Meanwhile, our household includes a combination of a casual gamer (me), a hardcore gamer (my housemate), and someone who fits inbetween (my other housemate) - and we've all racked up many, many hours of fun shouting expletives at our TV playing Mario Kart - and they're very hardcore expletives too!. I understand that Mario Kart was amongst the top games sold in the 'charts' (yeah, I know) for a while there, I'm fairly sure we can expect a repeat of that when Brawl is released here in Europe later this month.

Whats a 'hardcore gamer platform'? It doesn't exist...thats what it is. It's a made-up term to denigrate a disliked gaming system. The blog is better when it sticks to Windows stuff. Paul seems to exude the fanboyishness he claims to hate in Apple users when he talks about Apple and Nintendo...

Paul, why bother? The Wii is NOT a next gen game machine and, as such, it does NOT make sense to compare it to Xbox 360 and PS3. Ther are TWO high def next gen game machines, from MS and Sony; and there is a toy (Wii). I cannot understand why we do have to keep comparing oranges and water melons... ;-)

The funniest things are the comments from viewers who took it seriously despite the parody warnings everywhere!

"Whats a 'hardcore gamer platform'? It doesn't exist...thats what it is." Spoken like a true Mackie. Go back to playing Shufflepuck Cafe or Warcraft 3.

Geeze, it's almost like Paul is threatened by the Wii or something, kind of pathetic. Stupid waste of time video anyways, I was hoping for something funny maybe? (and I don't even have a Wii but geeze, grow up)

Paul's anti-Wii Jihad continues. We get it. You don't like the wii. Can we move on?

Paul, stick to Windows coverage; you obviously know nothing about what makes a game fun. Hint: it's not graphical power.
