Windows 7 Aero Snap keyboard shortcuts

If you’re running the M3 build of Windows 7, check out the cool (if obvious) Aero Snap keyboard shortcuts:

WINKEY + LEFT ARROW – Snap current window to the left side of screen; unsnap window that is snapped to right side of screen

WINKEY + RIGHT ARROW – Snap current window to the right side of screen; unsnap window that is snapped to left side of screen

WINKEY + TOP ARROW – Maximize current window.

WINKEY + BOTTOM ARROW – Minimize current window; restore maximized window.

Thanks to Daniel S. for the tip!

I have been waiting for a minimize/maximize shortcut forever!! Hey, Paul, I haven't even tried it yet but I'm thinking I might find the whole "snapping" thing annoying (accidentally dragging a window too close to the edge of the screen or something). Is there a way to turn it off?

Cfischer83: You have to drag the window almost 1/4th of its width into the edge of the scree to make it snap to that edge. You might still accidentally snap the window while trying to just drag it to the edges, but the threshold to trigger the snapping action is large enough for me. But YMMV.

it doesn't work that way; it only snaps when you actually touch the edge of the screen with your mouse while dragging a window, and it lets you know by displaying a glass pane where it'll 'snap' to, so you can move away if you don't want to. So far i haven't accidentally triggered it yet.

The keyboard still retains its power! Between it and the screen the mouse is dead. :P
