Microsoft Announces BUILD 2012

Microsoft today announced that it will hold its second BUILD conference, called BUILD 2012, in late October at its corporate campus in Redmond, Washington. The first BUILD conference, held in September 2011, kicked off Microsoft’s engagement with developers around Windows 8. The new show will likely continue that conversation and add related products such as Windows Phone.

Update: In a separate blog post, Microsoft revealed that BUILD would also include coverage of Windows Azure, Windows Phone 8, Windows Server 2012, Visual Studio 2012 and much more.

Few details are available about the new event beyond the time and place. BUILD 2012 will occur Tuesday, October 30 through Friday, November 2, 2012, and will be held at the Microsoft campus. Registration will open on August 8, 2012 at 8 am PDT.

If you’d like to catch up with the sessions from BUILD 2011, Microsoft is providing links via Channel 9.
