Nokia has posted its commercials for its two new US entries, the Windows Phone-based Lumia 710 and 900, to You Tube. And if you're fans of these fans like I am, you'll want to check them both out.
Introducing the Nokia Lumia 710
Introducing Nokia Lumia 900 - The Amazing Everyday
Heh. The mention of Windows Phone is relegated to one small logo at the end of the commercials. No mention of Zune music or Xbox either.
Does the Lumia 900 not have the curved glass design of the 800?
Very obvious the first ad is intended for television, is what we will see and is quite good.
The second one was clearly done before they had the actual hardware to play with and use for the ad as the rendering of the phone is very ordinary and the whole thing has a "just for the internet" feel about it. Hopefully the second one will be redone as soon as they can get hold of the real hardware for filming.
@ Waethorn Well, with my Nokia 5800, there is no mention anywhere, except on the help page that says its a Symbian based system.
I think by the look of the advert and what I have seen the glass is not curved the same way as it is on the 800.
Ive had the 800 since November, and it still looks and feels amazing. Looking through Youtube etc and with the author of this site, its amazing how people are besotted by these phones. Sounds silly I know but I have mine in the rubber case all day but when I get home I remove it as it feels so much better. Read what you will into that.. :o) It really is a very smart looking smartphone. The whole package works so well together.
I think if they have $200 million to spend on advertising on this one phone they will be doing more than just reshooting this ad.
I really like these commercials as they are simplified and show just enough to get the idea about the platform and what it does. One complaint though. Do they have to show them with that huge ugly AT&T Uverse orange tile right in the middle of the screen? Show the dynamic pictures hub or even the calendar. Since I don't have Uverse, this is the first app I delete from the phone. In the commercials you cant tell what it is except that it is out of place and the color clashes with the others. Other than that... great ads!
Every so often, I publish an updated version of my “What I Use” document, which details the technology products and services I actually use day-to-day. Since I’m currently on my third business trip in five weeks, this is perhaps an ideal time to discuss the technology products I rely on when I travel and a few related points....More
Lots of changes since November, including a new PC-based home server running Windows 8, several new smart phones, new PCs and tablets, new cloud backup, Office 365 Home Premium and a nice doubling of my Internet speeds courtesy of Verizon FIOS....More
