Windows 10 Creators Update: A Guide to Upgrading Using the Windows 10 Update AssistantApr 6, 2017
Yesterday Microsoft made the Windows 10 Creators Update available early for advanced users and we have already showed you how to install the upgrade on your Windows 10 system using the Media Creation Tool (MCT).
One of the other methods you can use to obtain the Creators Update is the Windows 10 Update Assistant.
This small download checks your systems current build against the latest feature update build and if there is a newer one available it will offer it as an upgrade.
With the release of the Creators Update, Build 15063, anyone running an earlier version of Windows 10 like the Anniversary Update, Build 14393, will now be offered this update.
This gallery will show you the steps to download and use this tool to upgrade your own system.
If you have any questions about this process or run into problems just leave a comment below and we will get you some assistance.
Note: Just like with my step by step guide for upgrading using the MCT, this upgrade as also done in a virtual machine so you will see the VM frame around the images of Windows 10 Home in these screenshots. The steps in this process are the same whether they happen in a VM or on a physical device.
