Based on the feedback I get, people are absolutely pining for the forthcoming release of the Audible app for Windows Phone 7.5. Sadly, it doesn’t appear that it will happen this week, as rumors had indicated. But work has continued since my first peek in March, and as you can see in the accompanying shots of the most recently available build, the app is pretty full-featured.

In m third Windows 8 Consumer Preview screenshot gallery, you can see the Metro-style entertainment apps that are available in this milestone, including Camera, Xbox Companion, Pinball FX2, Solitaire, Music, Video, and Xbox LIVE.

At midnight last night, standing in line at the local Best Buy with hundreds of fellow "Call of Duty" fans and my son, I wondered, briefly, why people do such things. And then I got home and spent the next several hours playing the latest Modern Warfare title into the wee hours of the morning.
