Got it and running. It seems a bit faster than before.

As of this morning x-marks wasn't supporting it. Need x-marks to keep my bookmarks synced.

I don't know if it's my computer (it's about 5 years old) or Firefox (I think it might be Firefox) but even with a clean install (no addons) if I run the browser, my computer completely freezes and the only way to have access to it is by going a hard boot. IE8 is still my default browser. I think it'll be Chrome that takes the backup browser spot. Firefox is good but I like Chrome better (though Chrome is way too limited feature-wise to be used as an everyday browser, IMO). I might give Firefox another try after I get Windows 7 (on a my computer).

I installed it without any problem. All I can confirm is that Adblock Plus, IE Tab and Download Ststus Bar are all working. This version is definitely faster than IE8.

Firefox 3.1/3.5 does blow away IE, big time. It blew away Safari as well, until 4.0 came out. Both are faster than IE. That said I have finally come to the conclusion that FF is always broken in some way. FF is the only app to ever crash on my Macbook that I have had since Oct 2007. It does this at least once a day. I have gone back to IE7 on Windows and Safari 4.0 on OS X, they just work.

Chrome and Safari are the best browsers out there. Then FF then IE in last place. It's that simple.

After being a firefox user for about 4 years, I switched to IE8 on Windows 7, mainly for the per-tab process isolation (accidently opening a pdf in firefox wasn't fun) and for the Windows 7 integration features. However, I do wish that if you *clicked* on the taskbar button while running IE8, your most recently viewed tab came up.

I use Firefox still, but only for the extensions. As soon as there are good replacements for Chrome I'll switch to that. IE8 has been good so far, but I like the simplicity and speed of Chrome.
