How Do I Love Thee, Windows Home Server?

How indeed. :) The Windows Home Server guys are having a bit of fun around St. Valentine's Day, so if you'd like to win some fun WHS schwag, head on over to the Windows Home Server Blog and see what's up:

What better way to prepare for Valentine’s Day with our extended Windows Home Server community than to help us help you show the love for WHS! We’ve got a fun Valentine’s Day promo to announce to kick off the celebrating – thru everyone’s favorite…some Windows Home Server Stickers!

2009 has been a great year and we’re sure 2010 will be even better with the incredible combination of Windows Home Server and Windows 7 protecting, connecting and organizing everything in your digital life. Show off your love for Windows Home Server by letting us send you some of our favorite Home Server stickers including the tattoo, “Mommy book” cover, the blue house and the status houses.

So how do you get your stickers? Usually were all about technology and  e-mail, but this time we're going OLD SCHOOL with snail mail to avoid keeping any information about you. Just send a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) to the address below. We’ll send you all four stickers pictured above and shred your original envelope.

Send me the WHS stickers!

15580 NE 31st St

Redmond, WA 98052

Make sure to include enough postage to return a sticker pack via U.S. mail. It's less than one ounce, so a standard First Class stamp will do if you're in the United States; enclose an envelope with International Reply Coupons (IRC) if you're outside of the U.S. And be sure to send your envelope in soon -- one per person please.

This offer is good for the first 2500 respondents.

Thanks to Scott J. for the tip.

Having been a beta tester for more than 15 years and participated in more of these sorts of promotions than I can count, I'm always impressed with this aspect of Microsoft's culture. I have a bookshelf full of neat Microsoft swag. What do I have from Apple? Three t-shirts that cost me $500 each (ADC) and several hundred Apple stickers that they include in basically every product they sell.

@ Gavers. I would comment too about Apple stickers and t-shirts. It's not like you can criticize the Apple OS, especially when compared with the overpriced, blatantly late and overtly copied Windows Vista and 7.

Wow! Microsoft are so innovative. No wonder you're simply pumping out anti-Apple posts these days, Microsoft has nothing of interest.

I'm sure a bunch of people will say how lame and uncool this is, but yet how many cars do you see driving around with Apple stickers on them? Never understood that, but yet I see it every day.

@Logjamming Someday, you will graduate from high school and actually make comments that make sense and worth reading .... until then, we will consider the source.

"www.tuaw.com/.../ok-who-owns-this-car" Why, Steve "Of course, I'm f**king handicapped!" Jobs I'd like to see Apple make a big Apple logo sticker, 27" big, and yellow, with a crack down the middle.

@Logjamming I don't fan one flame or the other. Windows (Microsoft) and Mac OS (Apple) are both excellent systems. Anyone using a modern computer should be glad to have either of these pre-installed. For nearly a decade my money has gone to the Apple side of things. But how Windows, and especially Microsoft is looking, I cannot help but give them a serious look. And I've been impressed.

@Gavers You're a sane poster on this blog then. Branding means nothing really to a consumer willing to accept all options. I too, take no sides. Well, I don't like IE, but if others wanna use it, go ahead.
