Outlook Connector for Office 2010

If you're running the Outlook 2010 Technical Preview (cough), you may have noticed that the shipping version of the Outlook Connector--which enables you to use Windows Live Hotmail, contacts, and calendar with Microsoft Outlook--won't work. Well, no worries: Microsoft has quietly released a new version, in both 32-bit and 64-bit variants, for the Office 2010 Tech Preview. Here you go...

But Paul, Since Hotmail already supports POP3, we don't need the infamous Connector anymore! :-)

I still do not see why the connector addon can not be part of Outlook. I find it wasting both the business customers and the home users time by having to download another add-on. I do hope that MS incorporates this connector software into Outlook for time saving on their customers end. Granted, I like the new POP3 access feature, but it doesn't copy over what is in your live calendar.

Aemarques, you need the Connector if you want all your Windows Live mail, calendar, notes, etc. all listed and in folders. POP3 doesn't (and has never) cut it.

@realtestman: Agreed. POP3 Kinda sucks comparing it to Outlook Connector.
