Good morning.

Microsoft paid Katy Perry to perform a free concert in New York this week as part of the Windows Phone 7 launch. Apparently, the drinks weren't free at the show, however, prompting a weird Perry outburst, "It's Microsoft! Don't they own half the world?!" Sorry, Katy. It's not 1999 anymore.

Apple just released a security patch for Mac OS X that fixes a whopping 130 flaws, a new record (the previous was 90), and one that requires up to a 645 MB download. Have fun with that.

I'm pleased that the 10.6.5 update includes support for the exFAT file system.

That's close in size to Windows XP sans Service Pacls! Talk about OS bloat...
