Right now, the event page is down but we'll open it up a little bit after 9 pm EST and get things rolling around 9:30 pm when the keynote actually starts. "stay tuned to the front page of the SuperSite for some very special news once the keynote begins" Would that happen to be stuff that you already knew about but was classified under NDA? Um, not much was said about it, but can we expect Windows Live Essentials (Wave 3) RTM to be announced?

That's great, looking forward to switching between the BCS Natl Championship and his keynote. I wonder if Gates is there or watching back at his fortress of solitude. Go Gators! Go SEC!

Ask him about Amalga. Tell him him that some doctor claims MS will help save humanity with it.

Paul, Obama stressed the need to digitize health care to reduce costly duplication of services, speed up delivery and reduce error, which will save lives. Amalga looks like the footprint of Hospital information systems. Like I said, we were told that VIRTUA in South Jersey was to use it. I would say it's pretty important, especially if it's more affordable than other third party solutions.

I'll tune it :-) I hope Ballmer mentions the final release dates of Windows Live Essentials and/or IE8

My prediction for Mr Balmer's keynote: he will NOT hop around the stage screaming "Consumers, consumers, consumers, ...".

Cant say which was the worse keynote. Some of that was a serious snooze fest.

I have watched the PDC keynote since I saw it live -- yep, it was that good, but this (CES) keynote... oh hell to the no! BAD! That was bad!

Since I missed the keynote, did robertsjoe make a fool of himself on the live blog or did he get sent to bed because of a big day at school tomorrow? --tayme

That part with the kid and the Xbox VP was beyond boring. To much "in the future" stuff as well, cool but some of it may never see a consumer product. I just cant get excited about Windows Mobile no matter who spins it. They need a Zune phone. Honestly Apples Keynote was boring yesterday and a major let down after all the rumors, but I think this my have been worse!

"To much "in the future" stuff as well" What I saw of it, which was the tail end, was boring, no doubt. But, much of CES is the "in the future" view. So that doesn't necessarily excite most of us here, but it does serve the general audience that CES caters to.

"Since I missed the keynote, did robertsjoe make a fool of himself on the live blog" There was no need. The keynote was a self-parody.

"There was no need. The keynote was a self-parody." Seems to be an epidemic. But MS and Ballmer were already known for the snore factor...Apple is losing their "wow factor" quickly as of late. One has to wonder how they will get on without Jobs at the helm. Jobs is and always has been Apple, jsut like Gates is Microsoft. Hopefully both companies can bring good people to the top and continue to innovate. --tayme
