Xobni for Outlook now available to the public

I've gotten a few emails lately from people who are really impressed this Outlook add-on, which was previously in a closed beta:

It's a whole new look at your email:

Xobni is the Outlook plug-in that saves you time finding email conversations, contacts and attachments.

After a quick install, you'll see the new Xobni toolbar appear in Outlook - and suddenly information will become much easier to find. When a new email arrives, the sender's full communication history appears in the Xobni sidebar, including past conversations, attachments and contact details. Xobni also includes a blazing fast email search tool.

Xobni is "inbox" spelled backwards, BTW.

I installed this add-on this morning and am very impressed. It's the kind of thing that makes you wonder why Microsoft didn't think of it first and make it an automatic part of Outlook. Especially great is the ability to find any file I've sent or received to any particular contact instantaneously.

"It's the kind of thing that makes you wonder why Microsoft didn't think of it first" They did - it's called Business Contact Manager, or if you want more power: Dynamics CRM. Outlook 2007 already features related history search too (those are called "conversations").

My husband recommended this to me today and I have to say - in the brief time I've been using it, I've found it very handy. I agree with JuryDuty that the ability to find files pretty quickly is most helpful. Can't wait to see what else they add!
