Coming Soon: New Office Garage Series

An awesome new video series to help IT pros manage, deploy, and maintain the New Office

Starting next week, Microsoft will be providing IT pros with an amazing series of videos aimed at getting them up to speed on the New Office while dispelling some myths along the way. The early peek I got looks amazing, and I recommend tuning in each Wednesday as new videos are posted. I’ll certainly be doing so.

Currently, Microsoft has video episodes racked up into June, and if it’s as popular as I think it’s going to be, there are plans for more. The Office Garage series focuses on understanding and deploying the New Office, and it will delve into helping IT pros understand what’s changed and what hasn’t. It will also include a virtual roundtable, on April 3, in which I’ll be participating. Stay tuned for more info on that bit.

In the meantime, enjoy the show promo video, which features the Office Garage hosts, Microsoft’s Jeremy Chapman and Microsoft MVP Yoni Kirsh, and provides a glimpse at the types of things you’ll be seeing as the series moves forward. Suffice to say there are some fun things planned in addition to the educational content.

You can learn more at the Garage Series for IT Pros web site. And yes. There is a garage.

I don't think IT pros want a reality TV type of thing to learn about Office. ...And I don't think Americans want to watch a reality series about several chubby, dumb rednecks... Oh wait...

Seriously though, kind of strange... but I'll cheer it on in the spirit of Office 365 deployment!

This is really refreshing. I'm so used to drab, boring technical content where I fall asleep before I learn anything. This is awesome and they look like they're having fun.

I was thinking the exact same thing. They even have Jeremy C. as a host.

Looks awesome! looking forward to some informative stuff without old boring guys just talking tech for hours on end thinking that everyone is interested. I think this will be a good step in the right direction! ps; did they go skydiving with tablets?

"Deploying the new Office just got too easy." Yea, so easy they have to have a series of videos to explain it to the professionals.

Obviously, I appreciate where you're coming from, but in this case I'd just say that there's a lot of misunderstanding out there about the New Office and whether/how it has changed the ways in which organizations deploy/manage the applications. This series is going to be very interesting and useful.

Exactly. Clever. Different. Innovative. This is the image MS needs to project to the consumer crowd especially. They have (close to being past tense) that opportunity with W8 & WP8 but that seems to being replaced quickly with the same 'ole MS blundering. It's not too late...yet!
