Pixel is expensive but installing some Linux distribution on it (well, Chrome OS is Linux-based) would make it a perfect work computer for me. Not many laptops has such a nice resolution/dpi. Unfortunately.

Is it possible to install Windows 8 on Chromebook Pixel?

It's almost worth it supports Windows. But, at this point the price for a stand alone copy of Windows is pretty expensive. Did they sit on this until the cost of Windows went up?

Paul, Andrew, I think maybe I've cracked it. The purpose for the Pixel is to help their partners. This is a great way to spur interest in Chromebook. Google get's a whole lot of press and buzz around Chromebook. Everyone is going to laugh at the price and all the high end specs and say "no frickin' way." But look at this inexpensive chromebook from HP, Samsung, Asus, etcetera; "I can do that cheaper one."
