I bought the Vivobook last week. The touchscreen utility is probably gonna depend on how often you use hotkeys and gestures on your trackpad (especially since things like swipe for charms or swipe for metro settings can be done on the trackpad).

I'm relatively tech savvy, so I initially found the touch screen more of a nuisance than helpful, simply because I can do almost everything faster with the keyboard, not to mention keep my screen clean. However, if you're part of the masses who always goes to edit > copy > edit > paste instead of ctrl+c, ctrl+p, then I suspect the touchscreen will be more useful.

Something that I found silly, however, was why on earth the windows 8 digital keyboard was turned on by default, on a laptop that doesn't swivel or detach into a tablet? Lack of thought on ASUS' part.
