Is it deliberate that "The Tech Guy" can't Outlook or Skydrive because it's Microsoft? Makes me wonder, when Leo fumbles for his credentials/passwords every time Windows Weekly should start. Hmmmm!

For all the other shows they use Google Docs as this is what they use for the day to day running of twit, atleast he makes an effort he could just ask paul to use google docs if he wanted

Usually, I watch the download version. This week I decided to watch live for a change. I lasted 3 minutes and had to quit due to Leo's ranting. Wow! "Why do you use this Microsoft crap!!" From the host of a podcast called, "Windows Weekly"????

So, in the end, was the problem actually due to Microsoft software?

No, it had nothing to do with Microsoft. We've been using SkyDrive for years, it works great.

And it's not usually/ever like that, to be fair.

You asked why businesses can't just be satisfied with profits in the absence of growth. I had the same question until I started running my own business. I think the reason is that there tends not to be profit in the absence of growth. This is because most PEOPLE want to grow, professionally, intellectually, financially, emotionally,or some combination thereof. Once a businesses grows beyond one person, it has trouble holding onto talent if it is not providing for individuals' personal needs to grow because most talented people are not content to just trudge along in the exact same role for the rest of their careers. The only way to make individual growth possible is for the business itself to grow. Otherwise, turnover shoots up and profits go away. So it is easy for a business to grow and easier for a business to shrink, but staying the same, in my opinion, is nearly impossible.
