Xbox 360 Game Gallery: F.E.A.R.
From the publisher
An unidentified paramilitary force infiltrates a multi-billion dollar aerospace compound, taking hostages but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in special forces, but loses contact as an eerie signal interrupts radio communications. When the interference subsides moments later, the team has been obliterated.
As part of a classified strike team created to deal with threats no one else can handle, your mission is simple: Eliminate the intruders at any cost. Determine the origin of the signal. And contain the crisis before it spirals out of control.
Already a critical and commercial smash on the PC, F.E.A.R. brings a new level of FPS game play to Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 will contain new levels, stunning visual effects for an intense "action movie" experience, and unpredictable encounters with combat adaptable A.I. Also expect frenetic multiplayer support for up to 16 players and the brand new Instant Action Mode which is a new arcade style action filled with close quarter's battles tracking player progress via Xbox Live? leader boards. Prepare for the next generation of F.E.A.R.

Extract: What do you get when you combine the scares of Condemned: Criminal Origins with the fast-moving first-person shooter (FPS) goodness of Quake 4? That's not to say that F.E.A.R. doesn't have its charms. The action is often fast and furious, and the weapons selection is excellent. And while both the single player and multiplayer experiences should cause a severe case of D?j? vu, F.E.A.R. is a decent title, and a decent addition to any FPS fan's arsenal. Read more
