If people just used a little bit of logic you would see that WP 7.8, the OS is still slated to receive over a year of updates so just because MS only refers to WP8 doesnt mean that the date given...

Seems to be Microsoft's MO at the moment, release unfinished products with lots of fanfare and cheery announcements and hope people dont look too closely under the covers and find the flaws....
