This morning when I woke up my Surface was on, but unresponsive (black screen). I also had to hard boot to bring it back to life.
Best thing ever! I've been using a shell script to accomplish this (it's capable of changing the desktop UI class to force a folder layout with text on the right), but this is awesome to be built...
It will fall out of headlines, sadly, like the apollo missions. The news cycle will just move on to whatever captures their attention next.
I'd still be willing to use it. I just consider the RT like a firmware/ROM device, and it's really pretty lucky to even get these updates and not just be locked in stone as it was from the start....
