My Surface Pro 3 is not really my everyday workhorse, but just to play safe I set my own rule to only use slow ring builds on it, so here we go!
So so far, there are no post-RTM slow ring builds, right?
This answer is incorrect. It's not part of Aero, it's the legacy color option that was succeeded by Aero. It's what came before. That color window you're referring to was what was in Windows 95...
This morning when I woke up my Surface was on, but unresponsive (black screen). I also had to hard boot to bring it back to life.
Best thing ever! I've been using a shell script to accomplish this (it's capable of changing the desktop UI class to force a folder layout with text on the right), but this is awesome to be built...
It will fall out of headlines, sadly, like the apollo missions. The news cycle will just move on to whatever captures their attention next.
I'd still be willing to use it. I just consider the RT like a firmware/ROM device, and it's really pretty lucky to even get these updates and not just be locked in stone as it was from the start....
Release notes are so 2009. I miss them :(
Don't forget to mention the new "chat with Microsoft support" option that's built-into Windows 10
And what's awesome is you can still just type the name of an app into Cortana and jump right to it in the store.
