App Tour: Complete Anatomy for Windows 10Mar 17, 2017
This week I have a two-fold reason for sharing this tour of the new Complete Anatomy App that has just arrived for Windows 10.
This app, build by 3D4Medical, is a direct port of the iOS version of the app and the company used Microsoft's Desktop Bridge for iOS to create the Universal Windows Platform (UWP) version of the app for Windows 10.
This app is very popular over in the Apple App Store as it was awarded as one of the best apps for 2016 and now it is finding an entirely new audience on Windows 10 as a UWP app.
There are some elements of the app that are free including the skeletal structure right out of the box. If you register with the company you will then unlock the connective tissue layer of the 3D model. In addition, you also gain access to the apps sharing tools plus limited access to the lecture and other tools.
However, you must make an in app purchase of $24.99 to unlock all other aspects of the anatomical model.
If you make that in app purchase then you will also get these additional systems to view on the model:
For anyone who has paid for the full app on iOS, there is a 50% discount on purchasing it for Windows 10. Just use your same credentials in the Windows 10 app to sign in and activate the discounted price.
If you are studying in the medical field then even $25 is an inexpensive price for a tool you will use for quite some time.
You can read more about the desktop iOS bridge porting process over at the Windows Apps blog plus download the new Windows 10 version of the Complete Anatomy app from the Windows Store.
