Quick Tip: How To use Windows Maps App to Track Traffic ConditionsDec 21, 2016
I recently shared on social media how I am aware that having an app for every single service you use means you have a lot of apps on your device whether it is a PC, tablet or mobile machine.
Although it is not always possible to merge multiple services into the same app like your banks or social media accounts, there is at least one area this is possible and makes sense - maps and traffic.
In Windows 10, one of the in-box apps, Windows Maps, not only serves up directions and business based searches but it also incorporates traffic conditions including notifications for travel times based on your home and work locations.
Since it is a Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app you get the same services across all Windows 10 based platforms including PC, Mobile, Xbox One, HoloLens, andHub.
This gallery will show you some of the traffic tracking features of Windows Maps in both the desktop and mobile version of the app.
