Windows 7 Home Basic will only be made available to emerging markets, and not in mainstream markets like the United States. It's included here for completion sake only. This version lacks Aero Glass (but includes the Aero-like Windows Standard UI), all of the Aero desktop effects, premium games, and a few other goodies. Most of the world can simply ignore Windows 7 Home Basic, though the existence of this version explains why Windows 7 Home Premium isn't simply called Windows 7 Home.

The simple Windows 7 Start Menu offers the three same default choices as Windows 7 Starter. (Again, PC makers will add more).
