7.5 Ch-Ch-Changes, Part 2: Windows Phone 7.5 Update Now DELIVERING!

UPDATED! Microsoft has updated the US and international versions of its Where's My Phone Update? pages to reflect the Windows Phone 7.5 update. And guess what? Most phones in most locales are already listed as "scheduling."  DELIVERING!

In the US, only Sprint is listed as still "testing" Windows Phone 7.5. The other wireless carriers--AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, as well as open market phones--are all scheduling delivering. (Verizon, annoyingly, is still scheduling the previous update, build 7392, as well.)

Internationally, things are no more complex, which is sort of amazing. The vast majority of carriers in all countries are scheduling delivering, with only Telefonica (Spain) still testing.

looks like the update is being delivered in the US, still scheduling everywhere else.

Just out of curiosity, is Microsoft planning OTA updates in the foreseeable future?

:-( Just read the blog. Only 10% of the ppl get the update this week. Back to the waiting game.

"To help ensure quality, software updates are typically sent out gradually and/or in batches, so it might take several weeks before you receive notice that an update is available for your phone." WTH is this crap? If apple can update tens of millions of iPhones on the same day, why can't MS upgrade the meager WP7 population?

@glonq: Apple absolutely does NOT update 10 million phones in a single day. Just ask any Verizon customer. Or anybody outside of the US for that matter. BTW: The trick about disconnecting your PC from the internet while you click the Update "tab" in Zune 4.8's Settings screen DOES WORK! I never got any updates since 7390. I did a sync and it never said there was an update. I disabled the data connection and WiFi connection on my phone, connected it to my system, went to Settings, clicked Update (Zune 4.8 checks for updates automatically - it no longer has a "Check for Updates" button), and just as it checked, I disconnected my notebook from WiFi, and there it was. Update 7392 was staring me in the face. A quick reconnect to WiFi got it downloading and installing right now. I did the same thing again when 7403 didn't get detected, so I did the same procedure again and I'm presently installing it.

I'm on Verizon (HTC Trophy) and unfortunately not a part of the 10% that got update to Mango notices. I did get an update to build 7392 notice to which I installed and then received no other update notices. There is a secret way to force an update (by disconnecting the network connection DURING the checking for update availablity in Zune Update) reported by WPCENTRAL. Apparently the Zune Update assumes each device qualifies for the update and it checks to see if you are on the BLACK LISTED 90% and if so denies the update. Don't know why Microsoft and/or Verizon is so conservative in rolling out the updates. Anyway, this worked for me! My other phone ATT (Samsung Focus) updated comparatively easily. It received the update message and perform the update to Mango flawlessly.

I was also in the 90% that were not scheduled to get the update yet. But finding the article on WPCentral on how to "trick" Zune to update allowed me to update to Mango. So far i really love the new features and performance increase! I cant wait to explore some HTML5 websites and download some new, mango enabled apps. I also really like the skydrive integration into the office app. All great stuff! No i love my windows phone even more!!
