Windows Phone Book: Capturing and Enjoying Photos Chapter is Complete

Chapter 15 hits first draft status

Windows Phone Book Chapter 15, Capturing and Enjoying Photos, is now complete in first-draft form. It’s time to move on to other chapters, including the Music, Videos, and Podcasts chapter that’s based on the Windows Phone part of Xbox Music Book.

This update includes introductory and conclusion material, a tour of the Photos hub, a completed section about viewing your photo albums, an update to the Camera lenses section, system integration, and customization.

Time to move on to new content. In addition to pushing content from Xbox Music Book into the Music, Videos, and Podcasts chapter, I’ll probably start up a completely new chapter as well. Perhaps Internet Explorer or Email.

For now…

Update: I just noticed that the previous full book had an incomplete Messaging chapter. Here's the fixed version:

Was reading Capturing and Enjoying Photos chapter and noticed this:

"Set a photo as the Photos hub background
By default, the background of the Photos hub and the tile for the Photos hub will randomly display a photo from your collection."

I think the background for the tile for the Photos hub displays photos from my Favorites collection (and only up to a certain number of photos), not randomly from my entire photo collection.

Thanks, I'll look at this. I don't see how it could be Facebook by default, since you'd have to manually add that account type first. But I'll try to experiment with it and see what the behavior is with/without a Facebook account.

Paul, if you're responding to my comment, I wasn't referring to Facebook photos. Photos that I save on my phone and designate as "favorites" get saved to the phone under the Favorites menu and the Photos tile pulls from those "favorite" photos, but only from those favorite photos.

That makes more sense, sorry. :)

Yes, that I could see. I will check and make a change.
